Mabuhay! I’m Roxanne, it’s nice to meet you.
Based on the East Coast, I am an empathy-driven art director, designer, and illustrator with over eight years of experience. With a background primarily in the music industry, my career focuses on creative design, visual communication, multimedia marketing, and brand identity development geared toward artist tours, festivals, and event merchandising.
As an Asian American/Filipinx woman, the body of my personal art is dedicated to exploring the liberation of all things outside the Western, white-cis-hetero-binary. I focus primarily on diasporic Filipinx and Asian themes to tell stories of the AAPI community, and amplify the complex, nuanced multitudes of Asian American experiences. I am a student of decolonization learning how to take up space as an Asian American woman.
I started drawing at an early age, and am inspired by 90s anime aesthetic, ukiyo-e, East and South East Asian art, childhood nostalgia, Asian folk art, New Wave, Asian branding, and many more.
Other facts about me: I am also a professional musician (violin/viola) and obtained a Bachelor of Music with a double concentration in Music Performance and Music Industry from James Madison University. I previously attended Rocky Mountain College of Art Design for a degree in Graphic Design.
